主題：明天比今天更好 于宏潔 7/30/2023 背誦經文：16 所以，我們不喪膽。外體雖然毀壞，內心卻一天新似一天。 17 我們這至暫至輕的苦楚，要為我們成就極重無比、永遠的榮耀。 18 原來我們不是顧念所見的，乃是顧念所不見的；因為所見的是暫時的，所不見的是永遠的。(林後4:16-18)

一. 人人都有夢想，都期望「明天比今天更好！」 • 16 (耶穌)說：「有一個財主田產豐盛； 17 自己心裏思想說：『我的出產沒有地方收藏，怎麼辦呢？』 18 又說：『我要這麼辦：要把我的倉房拆了，另蓋更大的，在那裏好收藏我一切的糧食和財物， 19 然後要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可作多年的費用，只管安安逸逸地吃喝快樂吧！』…」(路12:16-19) • 13 耶穌回答說：「凡喝這水的還要再渴； 14 人若喝我所賜的水就永遠不渴。我所賜的水要在他裏頭成為泉源，直湧到永生。」(約4:13-14)

二. 未來真在自己的掌控中？真的會越變越好嗎？ • 20 神卻對他說：『無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？』21 凡為自己積財，在 神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」(路12:20-21) • 13 嗐！你們有話說:「今天明天我們要往某城裏去，在那裏住一年，做買賣得利」14 其實明天如何，你們還不知道。你們的生命是甚麼呢？你們原來是一片雲霧，出現少時就不見了。15 你們只當說:「主若願意，我們就可以活著，也可以做這事，或做那事。」16 現今你們竟以張狂誇口；凡這樣誇口都是惡的(雅4:13-16) • 後來，我察看我手所經營的一切事和我勞碌所成的功。誰知都是虛空，都是捕風；在日光之下毫無益處。(傳2:11)

三. 在基督裡才有、也必有的活潑盼望與榮耀未來 • 3 願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父 神！祂曾照自己的大憐憫，藉耶穌基督從死裏復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望， 4 可以得著不能朽壞、不能玷污、不能衰殘、為你們存留在天上的基業。(1:3-4) • 2 我們又藉著祂，因信得進入現在所站的這恩典中，並且歡歡喜喜盼望 神的榮耀。 3 不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的…(羅5:2-3) • 16 所以，我們不喪膽。外體雖然毀壞，內心卻一天新似一天。 17 我們這至暫至輕的苦楚，要為我們成就極重無比、永遠的榮耀…(林後4:16-18)

Theme: Tomorrow will be better than today Memory Verse: 16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self[a] is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

1. Everyone dreams and hopes that "tomorrow will be better than today!" 16 And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’ (Luke 12:16-19) 13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.[a] The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”(John 4:13-14)

2. Is the future really under my control? Will it really get better? 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12:20-21) 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. (James 4:13- 16) Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 2:11)

3. The living hope and glorious future that can only be, and must be, in Christ 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,… (1 Peter 1:3-4) 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith[a] into this grace in which we stand, and we[b] rejoice[c] in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,…(Romans 5:2-3) 16 Therefore, we do not lose heart. Although the outer body is destroyed, the inner body is being renewed day by day. 17 Our temporary and light sufferings will accomplish for us a matchless and eternal glory... (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
